Our Therapeutic Approach

At Keira-Lyn Cuthbertson Biokineticist (KCB), we believe that rehabilitation should be as individual as the people we treat. Our team combines evidence-based biokinetic rehabilitation with internationally recognised hydrotherapy techniques to create personalised treatment programmes that support movement, function, confidence and independence.

Whether in the hydrotherapy pool or on land, every session is tailored to each client's goals, abilities and stage of rehabilitation, ensuring a safe, supportive and encouraging environment to achieve meaningful progress.

Hydrotherapy Techniques

Bad Ragaz Ring Method

A specialised technique utilising water resistance and support to enhance muscle strength, stability, and movement control.

Halliwick Concept

Focused on developing balance and core stability, this approach builds water confidence through structured, independent movement.

WATSU® Principles

A gentle modality incorporating supported stretching and rhythmic movement to reduce tension and promote deep relaxation.

Land-Based Rehabilitation

Our land-based rehabilitation sessions use evidence-based exercise therapy to improve strength, mobility, balance, coordination and overall physical function. Every programme is individually designed and progressed according to each client's goals and abilities.

Where appropriate, we also incorporate Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS) to assist with muscle activation, strengthening and rehabilitation. EMS can complement therapeutic exercise by helping to improve muscle recruitment, support recovery and enhance functional outcomes.

By combining hands-on guidance, therapeutic exercise and modern rehabilitation techniques, we aim to help every client move with greater confidence and achieve lasting improvements in their quality of life.
