Advanced International Aquatic techniques (Peggy Schoedinger)

Keira graduated with a Bachelor of Biokinetics (Honours) from the University of Johannesburg. She had already realised she had a special interest in the treatment of neurological conditions using exercise as well as the use and power of aquatic therapy in rehabilitation.

Keira jumped straight into the Neuro-paediatric and hydrotherapy field, and instantly fell in love. She has completed an in-depth course in Advanced International Aquatic Techniques, and was lucky enough to work closely with some of the best professionals in Aquatic Therapy and NeuroRehab. This has allowed her to use Hydrotherapy in many different ways to treat a variety of conditions. She strives to grow herself and her knowledge through numerous courses, and continues to learn from the amazing professionals she works with.

 

Keira officially took over the Biokinetics department and opened her own practice at TherapyWorx. In 2026, Keira officially expanded her practice to the OWL Recreation centre.

 

She has been surrounded by some of the best Biokineticists that have helped her discover her passion. She treats a variety of age groups, and a variety of conditions. Keira is incredibly passionate and grateful to be able to say that she does what she loves for a living.

Jessica Mendes

Biokineticist

Jessica obtained her undergraduate degree in Sport Science, followed by her Honours degree in Biokinetics with distinction (cum laude) from the University of Pretoria. She has developed a strong passion for helping individuals improve their quality of life through movement, with a focus on making exercise both effective and meaningful.

 

Jessica has a special interest in working with geriatric populations, where she focuses on improving balance, functional strength, and independence to enhance overall quality of life. She is passionate about helping individuals with chronic conditions manage their health through safe and structured exercise, empowering them to feel stronger and more capable in their daily lives.

 

Her interests also extend to orthopaedic rehabilitation, where she enjoys guiding patients through recovery following surgery or injury, with the goal of returning them to both daily activities and sport. In paediatrics, Jessica focuses on developing gross motor skills and building confidence in movement from a young age.

 

Jessica is equally passionate about supporting pre- and postnatal women through all stages of pregnancy and recovery, helping them move safely and regain strength. In the neurological space, she is dedicated to restoring function and improving independence through individualized rehabilitation.

 

She is deeply driven by a desire to help people move better, feel better, and achieve their personal goals, believing that everyone deserves to live an active, independent, and fulfilling life.
